Privacy Policy

Accounts are optional

You can use core Dokuily document tools without creating an account. If you create an account, we store the account information needed to sign you in and provide account features. Reusable profile details are saved only when you choose to save them and are encrypted at rest. Private document links use randomly generated access tokens; Dokuily stores a cryptographic hash of the token rather than the token itself.

What we collect

To generate a document, we process:

• The description and details you type in, and any answers you give in the clarify step.
• A file you upload, if you use the "attach a document to fill" option.
• Your email address, but only if you choose to receive a document by email — it is never required to use Dokuily.
• Your account email and any reusable profile details you choose to save, if you create an account.
• Your IP address, briefly, to apply rate limits and prevent abuse.
• Payment details, handled entirely by Stripe — we receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, never your card number.

How we use it

Your inputs are used only to draft, source, and fill your document, and to run the jurisdiction rule checks that apply to it. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it to train models beyond what our AI infrastructure providers do for abuse prevention under their own terms.

Who we share it with

Processing your document involves a small number of infrastructure providers, each bound by their own terms:

• Vercel — application hosting and file storage.
• Neon — our database.
• An AI model provider, via Vercel's AI Gateway — to interpret your request and draft document text.
• Adobe PDF Services — to place answers into an official PDF, only after you request that feature and consent to the processing shown on screen.
• Resend — to deliver document-ready emails, only when you request one.
• Stripe — to process payments.

How long we keep it

Retention depends on the feature and record type. Temporary uploads and private access capabilities are subject to automated retention controls. Account, payment, security, and compliance records may need to be retained for different periods. You can ask us to delete eligible account or document data by contacting us below.

Your choices

You can choose not to create an account, decline optional profile reuse, leave optional form fields blank, or decline third-party PDF processing. You can also revoke supported document links from the document workspace. If you'd like eligible data deleted, or have any other privacy question, reach out at privacy@dokuily.com.

If this policy changes in a material way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
